Book cover design
I’ve always been astounded by dope book cover design, whether the graphic images, the texture beneath my finger tips, the minuet embellishments, I have always loved getting lost in the worlds of the covers. Pulled in by a signal as to what’s inside. Finally I have crossed the bridge of designing and creating my own book cover. The book of WOLDU - a very unique and artful cinematic space adventure. So, I developed a teleportation system via the book cover, for as soon you open it.. transformation to a whole nother’ world. Completely.

Cover design & Proofing process
An 18 month process. I thought it would all just be 6 months, I was wrong, but nevertheless was this design process not a whole lot of fun. See (below) some shots from the process of communicating imaginative design to the printers in Hong Kong. A very rewarding experience.
Raw proofs
After the digital design comes the physical proofs

4 magical layers

When the layers combine! Opacity adjustments in PS to see how everything is working together. Repeat, until completion.
I’ll say here, from idea, to concept, to final book cover design, this was a 6 year process. The initial design of this book was just a campy (not) idea to have cool stars on the cover… because what’s giving Sci-Fi more than stars? And then it became an entire portal. Teleportation gate to new worlds. Lets go! For these stars to now be pressed into physical matter, absolutely mind blowing! I tell ya. And, I have loved every moment of this PLASMAworlds development process, and continue to. I am Honored and having a blast sharing with you. :D
