The art of world building is all about the art of storytelling. From the landscapes, to the monsters, characters, tools, vehicles and clothing, everything ages. Everything comes from somewhere. Everything was made by something before we got to it, before I created it for you. And, everything is slowly returning to dust. So, everything is story. Yes, everything is story, and that makes world building a visceral experience, to me, every time.
WOLDU - Visual Story Integration
As a director I work with many artists in seamless collaboration to develop entertainment experiences like, the Book of WOLDU, an epic illustrated novel from PLASMAworlds. WOLDU is an original sci-fi story world about a lost space captain that fights in attempt to get back to his family. I wrote every page, designing every scenario first with words, and then as sketch as I worked closely with an international team I built from the ground up to depict the terror and desperation of the WOLDU storyworld. I created unique and simplified visual documentation to enable my MTD team to create scenes using 2.5 art production style, so that each static scene in the book was also ready to be animated into an action packed animated film. The results; immersive worlds created based on the story of WOLDU, worlds that inspire the reader and lead them into the foreign murky dream world at the same time.

I connected with Visionary Realms to bring a pre-production art pass to their game prototype for funding. From character concepts to action scenes. I created and directed a small art team, we instilled history and life into their fantasy world leaving it pulsing with charisma and soul. The result; we provided their audience a sense of connection to their star character classes as they continued the development journey for their game.
